We love Taksu Sanur ,about 10mi walk to beach, very reasonably priced, lovely staff, lnice pool and gardens, lovely buffet breakfast, close to restaurants etc Not a big resort but if you like a medium sized boutique style hotel at great price I think youl like Taksu. We stayed there first time last Nov. and will be back there this Nov.

The promenade along Sanur is 5.38 kilometers long (approx 3.34 miles). I just measured it on google earth. I have ridden most of it on a bicycle. There are some places where you need to get off the bike to go through pedestrian gates, but it is ridable. Many people walk, stroll, and jog along here also, especially in the mornings. You can hire a bike for 50k IDR for an old clunker, or 100K IDR for a newer bike. Some hotels offer bikes for free. You may need to stop occasionally and walk the bike when there is any ceremony at a temple, wedding, procession, or cluster of people. I would not recommend riding the biclcle on the main road (it is very sketchy there indeed).
