The guides were amazingly helpful and thorough. There was great detail - if you want and the display was diverse. Great gift store too.Full review by Tricia M

That depends on the attention span of the 3 year old. The guided tours enrich the experience for school age children and adults. If you could tag team so that you could see what enthralls the child and/or slend time in the extensive shop, it might work. However, it might be worth waiting until 5 years old so that your entire party could enjoy the very informative tour. In any case, it needs to be on a Must See list!

I have a 7 year old that loves dinosaurs so between the exhibits and the gift shop we spent 2 solid hours. She loved all the hands on displays and had to have a picture in front of every display. The gift shop was another story all in its self. She had a budget to stay in so trying to decide what she wanted was tough especially with the wide selection they have.
Admission is $11.50 for adults, $7.50 for kids 5-12, and under 5 free. Discounts for military and seniors too. I highly recommend taking the guided tour.
