Airbus (OTCPK:EADSY) is nearing an agreement to provide funding and revised payment terms to Spirit AeroSystems (NYSE:SPR) as the aircraft parts maker struggles with its finances. Spirit shares fell 1.

Spirit Aero, which said last week it was negotiating possible advances from its customers, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The company announced earlier it had reached a deal for new advances from Boeing. An Airbus spokesperson said it had “no comment on any potential support we may provide to our suppliers”.

Hours after announcing it will receive up to $350 million in advance payments from Boeing, Spirit said it has an updated memorandum of agreement with Airbus stating the European aerospace giant will provide the major supplier with a $107 million non-interest-bearing line of credit.
