Calgary Flames general manager Craig Conroy has put an end to speculation surrounding $27.3 million defenseman Rasmus Andersson. Conrey confirmed the team has no intention of trading the blueliner even though the franchise has been getting calls asking about his availability.

Since Craig Conroy became general manager, the Calgary Flames have undergone some major changes as they’ve moved out seemingly every expiring asset on their roster in an effort to get younger.

The Flames have “no interest” in trading star defenseman Rasmus Andersson ahead of the March 7 deadline as things stand, Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic reports Wednesday. LeBrun adds that they’re also “among the very long list of teams that have checked in” with the Sabres about trading for center Dylan Cozens.
