A Santa Fe police officer allegedly shot a man who didn't drop his gun while exiting a vehicle, New Mexico State Police said.

Police charged the wounded man, Jesus Rafael Contreras, 41, with two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer, alleging he aimed a handgun at officers.
