‘Major’ wildfire in N.J. sparks evacuations, road closures
Another wildfire in nearby Ocean County was still burning after breaking out Wednesday in Jackson Township. That fire, dubbed the Shotgun Fire by officials, had grown to 300 acres in size just before 10 a.m. on Thursday, and threatened six structures.
The Bethany Run Wildfire, which is located in the towns of Evesham and Voorhees, had burned through 300 acres as of 8 p.m.
The fire is located in Evesham and Voorhees townships, the New Jersey Forest Fire Service said Thursday afternoon.
