A 40-year-old man riding a motorcycle crashed, at high speed, into a car turning from Louise Avenue to Hacienda Avenue, police said. The rider continued past the initial collision and crashed into a light pole, knocking it down. Officials said the motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Modesto police are asking any witnesses to contact the department with information to help with the investigation, law enforcement said.
