November 27 - Tyrese Hunter tallied a game-high 23 points and PJ Haggerty finished with 16 points and nine rebounds as Memphis earned a spot in the Maui Invitational championship game by beating Michigan State 71-63 on Tuesday in Lahaina, Hawaii.

Michigan State's hopes of taking home a Maui Invitational title were put to rest on Day 2 of the tournament when they fell to the rising Memphis Tigers, 71-63.
