Rohan Shukla collapsed on the sidelines after suffering a traumatic brain injury during the first half of the Sharon Eagles’ Thanksgiving game against Oliver Ames High.

The letter, from Sharon Public Schools Superintendent Peter J. Botelho and SHS Principal Kristen Keenan, said student Rohan Shukla experienced a “traumatic brain injury” during the game. Shukla, a sophomore, was injured during play and collapsed on the sidelines, the letter said.

Rohan Shukla sustained a “traumatic brain injury” during the game and was sent to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton and then to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, according to a Sharon Police Department Facebook post. The game ended as his trainer, coaches and emergency personnel responded to the incident.
