Friday night’s temperatures will drop below freezing in areas where skies are clear, mostly for folks along and north of Interstate 20. The D-FW area will go from 37 degrees during the day Friday to 27 degrees Friday night. Rain chances will start to move south, to Central Texas.

We were lucky to not have many issues on the roads due to winter precipitation from our arctic front. But the big talker was the lake effect snow – take a look at some of the snowfall totals provided by the National Weather Service out of Fort Worth.

The National Weather Service issued an extreme cold warning, in effect until Thursday, with wind chills dropping to -12 degrees in some parts of Texas.
