Already fully exempt on the Korn Ferry Tour, Dossey was awaiting the arrival of his first child and not expecting to play Q-School, but with Tucker William coming early, Dossey opted to tee it up in final stage after all – and that decision has Dossey on the cusp of a PGA Tour card.

Shortly after Trevor Cone polished off shooting 5-under 66 at Sawgrass Country Club on Friday, he offered an interesting take on PGA Tour Q-School.

Five players are 8-under, four at 7-under and nine are 6-under. The tour begins on July 25 in Ridgedale, Missouri, and wraps up on August 27 in Phoenix, Arizona, covering major U.S. and Canadian markets along the way. Stops include Chicago, Toronto, New York, Dallas, Denver and Montreal, making the run one of the band’s most expansive North American outings in years.
