Barely halfway through his five-year contract, the St. Louis Cardinals are moving catcher Willson Contreras to first base and some DH, executive John Mozeliak told reporters Wednesday at the GM meetings.

Matt Pauley and Bernie Miklasz discussed the St. Louis Cardinals moving Contreras to first base on Thursday’s edition of “The Gashouse Gang” and both were in agreement it was a good move.
