Ole Miss basketball head coach Chris Beard wants more respect for his program after a historic win vs Alabama.

The Ole Miss Rebels have enjoyed a 3-0 start to conference play, but two of those games have come without a key player on the floor due to injury. Forward Mikeal Brown-Jones has missed all of the action against the Arkansas Razorbacks and LSU Tigers due to an injury he suffered in the conference opener against the Georgia Bulldogs.

Going into the night, Alabama was No. 1 in the nation in scoring offense, averaging 91.1 points per game. The Tide also entered as one of the country’s most dominant rebounding teams, ranking No. 2 nationally in total rebounds and No. 8 in offensive boards.
