Samsung recently pushed a SmartThings Framework update that bricked several Galaxy S10 devices. Users who downloaded the patch (v2.2.02.1) are caught in a terrible booting loop and some are suggesting that you factory reset the phone through Recovery Mode.

It's a problem that may be familiar to some Galaxy S10 owners. Samsung also released an update that broke the phone back in 2019 where users were asked to enter a PIN even though they never made one. Entering any PIN would cause the phone to reboot and ask for the PIN again. Similarly, the only fix was a factory reset.

Samsung's decision to not change the Galaxy Tab S10 series' design works out well for people invested in the Samsung ecosystem.
