TORONTO -- The Detroit Red Wings fell to the Toronto Maple Leafs, 3-2, in the preseason finale for both Original Six clubs at Scotiabank Arena on Saturday night. “I liked a lot of the things that we did tonight,” Detroit head coach Derek Lalonde said. “The handful of NHL guys we brought here I thought competed extremely well.”

It was goalie Ville Husso's second full game over the past week for the Detroit Red Wings as he stopped 31 of 34 shots.

The Red Wings concluded their exhibition season Saturday in Toronto with a 3-2 loss to the Maple Leafs. Toronto's Auston Matthews had a power-play goal tying the game, then set up John Tavares on the winning power-play tally,
