Brentford captain Christian Norgaard has avoided a three-game after the club successfully appealed against his red card for serious foul play in their 0-0 draw at Everton last weekend. The 30-year-old Denmark international was sent off in the 41st minute for his tackle on Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

Brentford were reduced to 10 men in the first half when Norgaard lunged at Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and was shown a red card after a Video Assistant Referee review.

Norgaard was sent off after VAR sent referee Chris Kavanagh to the pitchside monitor to review a knee-high contact made on Jordan Pickford while challenging for a loose ball.
