The Dallas Cowboys won't have Jason Witten on Brian Schottenheimer's coaching staff in 2025, according to reports.
Jason Witten will not be the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, and it looks like he will not be the next assistant coach for the team either. Patrik Walker of the Cowboys’ official website reported Monday on the status of the retired ex-Cowboys great Witten after he lost out on the team’s head coaching job to Brian Schottenheimer.
The Cowboys informed on Monday that the team will not go that direction just yet. The Cowboys showed in their head coaching search their affinity for those familiar with The Star. While Jerry remains very fond of Witten as a leader, the team has opted not to utilize him on the staff this season.
