A simmering diplomatic stand-off over deportation flights spilled onto social media Sunday, threatening the once close relationship between the US and Colombia and further exposing the anxiety many feel in Latin America towards a second Trump presidency.

The U.S. President Donald trump has intensified his attacks against the left wing regimes of Latin America as a part of the MAGA programme to weaken the Left in the region and bolster the far right forces which have been emboldened as a result of the coming of the Trump Regime for the second time.

Several chafed at his plans as President Trump enacted immigration measures affecting their countries and vowed to impose tariffs on Mexico and Canada.
