The Maryland Department of Natural Resources has been approver to buy a historic property that would become the first state park in Wicomico County.

Friday is the first day outdoor enthusiasts can head out to the Eastern State Exposition grounds in West Springfield.

Both venues offer tours each weekend, giving families an opportunity to learn about everything from tapping trees and boiling sap.
