Zimbabwe's senate has approved a bill to abolish the death penalty and it is now set to be signed into law by the president.

Authorities in Zimbabwe have said that churches across the country will start paying taxes. The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) disclosed this on Thursday in a statement directed at all churches.
