DALLAS — The Dallas Police Department is mourning an officer who was killed in an off-duty accident. Dallas Police Chief Igo confirmed to WFAA that DPD Officer Gabriel Bixby was involved in a major accident in Hunt County and passed away from his injuries on Tuesday.

Gabriel Bixby, 29, had served with the department since 2018 and was assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division.
