RedNote, a Chinese short-form video platform, is gaining ground as users look for an alternative to the social media company owned by the China’s ByteDance.

The legislation gave ByteDance 270 days to sell TikTok — otherwise the social media platform would be banned from U.S. app stores and internet hosting services.
