The Seattle Seahawks are seemingly closing in on a new offensive coordinator. Seattle made the decision to part company with Ryan Grubb following his lone season in the role, despite the Seahawks posting a 10-7 record and narrowly missing out on the playoffs.

It just so happened that the word came out about the move shortly before Seahawks players cleaned out their lockers for the season. The annual end-of-the-season cleanup is the last chance for local reporters to catch up with players at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center.

The Seattle Seahawks fired offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb after only one season, coach Mike Macdonald said Monday morning in a radio interview in Seattle. The team later confirmed it in an announcement on social media.
