The Sangamon County Board approved the settlement Tuesday night, allowing taxpayers to avoid a drawn-out and likely traumatic lawsuit over the summertime shooting by former deputy Sean Grayson.

Eric was collecting all of his son's winner's checks, but he was missing the one from the 2024 Sony Open. Not anymore.

Oral arguments will be heard by the high court after the State and defense attorneys for Sean P. Grayson file briefs. A March 24 hearing for Grayson in Sangamon County Court will stand.
