CHICAGO - A 19-year-old man was shot Tuesday evening on Chicago's South Side, police said. The man was outside around 5:20 p.m. in the 7800 block of South Union Avenue when he heard gunfire and realized he had been shot in the left leg, according to police. He was taken to a nearby hospital in good condition.

Police said the driver was shot in the head, causing his sport-utility vehicle to crash into a building and a parked car. Sabrina Franza reports.

Around 5:20 a.m., the driver, a 57-year-old man, was near the 3100 block of West 59th Street when a silver or gold car pulled up alongside him and opened fire, Chicago police said.
