Fenerbahçe manager José Mourinho, one of the most recognizable names in soccer, has been accused of making “racist statements” by rival team Galatasaray, which plans to seek criminal charges against the world-renowned coach.

Fenerbahce have issued a strong statement in response to accusations that Jose Mourinho made ‘racist statements’ following Monday’s 0-0 draw against Galatasaray. Galatasaray said the club planned to launch criminal proceedings against the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager after it was claimed he made ‘derogatory statements’ about Turkish people.

Didier Drogba has come to the defence of Jose Mourinho after Galatasaray accused the Portuguese manager of racism. The Turkish club plans to file complaints with UEFA and FIFA over Mourinho's post-match comments following Monday's 0-0 draw between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
