A 29-year-old man in Akron, Ohio, died from gunshot wounds after a dispute, as confirmed by authorities, who are now seeking information on the incident.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - An Akron man died after he was shot in a parking lot on Thursday, police say. Jamar E. Franklin, 29, crashed his car just before 8 p.m. at South Main Street and West Miller Avenue. Officers said they found Franklin inside his vehicle unresponsive with a gunshot wound.

The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office and Akron police are investigating after a 29-year-old man was shot and killed on Thursday night. Akron police say they initially responded to a one-car crash near South Main Street and West Miller Avenue on Thursday night.

Police said just after 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a shots fired call at the parking lot in the 10200 block of Irving Park Road, where they found a 26-year-old man who had been shot.
