It couldn’t happen, could it? Well, it’s happening. Philip Rivers, whose last NFL game was so long ago that the league was still playing 16-game regular seasons, is going to be starting for the Indianapolis Colts in a critical game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The teams that have beaten the Seahawks this season have found their tight ends in the end zone. George Kittle, Jake Tonges, and Colby Parkinson make up three of the five tight ends with a touchdown against Seattle this season. The Seahawks signed tight end Eric Saubert to a one-year contract extension on Saturday. Saubert was activated from injured reserve on Saturday, after missing six games with a calf injury. The veteran tight end signed with Seattle during free agency in March.
