One of the raging debates this offseason, not just in Ann Arbor, but across college football, is about whether or not No. 1 overall 2025 recruit Bryce Underwood will start for Michigan football this fall right out of the gates.

The Michigan football team was able to achieve that goal in 2023 as they were the kings of college football, but the Wolverines have work to do now. Sherrone wasn't left with much from that 2023 national championship team, and it made for a tough first season as the Michigan head coach.

On3's Ari Wasserman believes that because Moore hit the transfer portal this winter to bring in Fresno State signal-caller Mikey Keene, a redshirt senior who passed for 2,892 yards, 18 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, this fall's starting job belongs to the veteran, not the true freshman.
