EUGENE, Ore. — In the aftermath of another resounding defeat Friday, it would have been easy to conclude Michigan State football tight end Jack Velling was divorced from reality. But, in all actuality, he just didn’t want to accept that his Spartans aren’t good enough yet to compete with the Big Ten’s elite.

Michigan State football fumbled on the goal line on its first drive and was unable to score until midway through the fourth in a 31-10 loss to Oregon.

Michigan State suffered their third straight loss Friday night at the hands of the undefeated Oregon Ducks 31-10.
