In the co-main event of UFC on ESPN 73, Vallejos (17-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) took on Giga Chikadze, a featherweight contender who had never been knocked out before. Manel Kape closed out the last UFC fight of the ESPN era last night (Sat., Dec. 13, 2025) at UFC Vegas 112 LIVE on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, putting a vicious stop to flyweight contender Brandon Royval with a first-round TKO (punches).
Kape was twice scheduled to fight Royval earlier this year. Most recently, Kape pulled out of UFC 317 in June. Van replaced Kape and beat Royval in a Fight of the Year frontrunner to earn a title shot, subsequently beating Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 323 to win the flyweight championship.

An era in UFC broadcasting comes to a definitive close on Saturday, as Brandon Royval takes on Manel Kape for the final main event of the year.
