With support from elected city officials and staff as well as volunteer work from FOSS, the city of Salida was awarded a $350,000 Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) grant in March, 2020 for construction of a new 14,000 square foot skatepark to be built in Centennial Park.

It is located within Centennial Park at 410 W Rainbow Dr. Salida, CO 81201 Who can use the skatepark? All ages, abilities and disciples (bmx, skateboard, scooters, rollerblades and skates).

In August of 2021, the new Salida Skatepark officially opened to its first visitors. Phase one of the new Park includes more skateable areas and halfpipes, pedestrian walkways connecting the park to the Salida Aquatic Center, and most notably, a new “heart” in the center of downtown.

Salida Parks and Recreation began improvements in Centennial Park in Fall 2020. The park is located adjacent to the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center in Salida, Colorado. Improvements include a world class 14,000 SF skatepark.

The Salida Skatepark is now open! The long awaited grand opening was an amazing turnout with skaters and bikers of all ages. The skatepark is located in Centennial Park in Salida, Colorado and is part of the first phase of planned improvements for the park site.
