I love the half-figure eight frames on Elphaba's glasses. It's a nice stylistic choice. Also, I saw some complaints that fancy specs like those would not fit her character. If this was a more grounded setting, I would agree. However, my counterargument is that this is the whimsical land of Oz. For all we know, those are standard issue there.

It is a rumination on ethics and fate, through characters and moments that are a blend of the Oz books (more frightening and surreal than most media adaptions) and the elements of 1939 film (Elphie's green skin is an invention for the technicolor film, and the Witches of Oz aren't sisters in the books).
