Zoo officials in eastern Brazil say a man has died after being mauled by a lion on Sunday. They add the man “deliberately entered” the animal’s enclosure, resulting in his death. NBC News’ Jesse Kirsch has the story. The images seen in this video are disturbing.

There was an audible reaction in the courtroom today when the judge in the murder case against Charlie Kirk's alleged killer said he currently has 1,409 cases assigned to him. That IS a lot of cases. Judge Tony Graf in Utah's 4th Judicial District in Provo scheduled a Dec. 29 online hearing in which he'll announce his ruling on two issues he heard argument on today: the unsealing of transcripts for a closed hearing in October and a request from The Salt Lake Tribune and other news organizations
